Robert Parker: “Sourced from a single one of Vignon's consulting clients, the 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Anonyme is slightly less expressive on the nose than his blended CdP, but it has more cherries mixed in among the strawberries and pomegranates. It's full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with a long, tannic finish. While roughly equal in quality, it's quite different in style, likely with a bit more aging potential. The blend is 60% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% each Roussanne and Vaccarese, 3% Muscardin and 2% Counoise, with fermentation and élevage taking place in a wide variety of vessels, including a fair proportion of amphorae."
